Irrigation Speaker Warren Gorowitz explains how the irrigation industry is changing at a rapid pace, from local water restrictions, to federal codes and standards. Sustainability while not a new concept has become the buzz word that focuses on being "Green". We are the original "Green" industry! This session will provide you with a practical approach to understanding codes and standards in the irrigation industry as well as how you can transform your business with a focus on sustainability and increase your profits.
Retail speaker Wayne Pianta will share his expertise. The retail workshops will review strategies, new products and ideas for how you can exceed your own expectations at retail starting in 2014. Participants will learn what the customers in various groups expect and look for at retail by reviewing the results of consumer surveys conducted at Ball. Everyone can learn what the competition is doing from a presentation of retail products, outlets and Garden Centers in Denver and other cities that identify ideas that work and some that don’t in other large markets. We will drill down to specific ideas for how Texas retailers can step up their game with new products and ideas for being a source not only for plants, but for inspiration to their customers. The focus will be on knowing your customers and their expectations, knowing your competition and their strengths and weaknesses and learning about staying on the cutting edge with new products.
Landscape speaker Jeffrey Scott will teach us everything he knows about increasing profits! This workshop will show you specific methods for improving efficiency, productivity, margins, and net profits. You will make more money in 2014 by learning how to 1) Sell and produce at higher margins, 2) Organize your company for improved efficiency, 3) Get more done with less labor, and 4) Create ownership thinking among your staff. You may already be doing great (but) what first made you successful may now be getting in the way of reaching your next level of success. Join us and learn new ways to grow and prosper.
Grower speaker Brian Cantin will clarify some commonly misunderstood information about growing mediums. Many production fallacies are created by misinformation, be it information taken out of context, a bad experience with a product, not understanding the full implication of fertilizers on media or simply not reading the label properly. Now would be the time to review these fallacies and set things straight.
